Doña Ana County, NM - Doña Ana County is issuing a public notice regarding upcoming road repairs in the La Mesa area, in collaboration with the Elephant Butte Irrigation District (EBID) and the Doña Ana County Road Department. These efforts aim to enhance infrastructure and maintain safe and reliable roads for residents and commuters.

The Elephant Butte Irrigation District (EBID) announces the temporary closure of County Road B-010 in the La Mesa area for road repairs, beginning Monday, February 26, 2024. The closure is anticipated to last until March 1, 2024, and the road will be closed to through traffic during this period. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to reach their destinations. Detour signs will be prominently displayed to guide traffic through San Miguel and Royce Roads. For any inquiries or concerns regarding the road closure or repair project, please contact the EBID office at 575-993-8749.

Additionally, the Doña Ana County Road Department announces plans for a fog seal application on selected roads in the La Mesa area. The fog seal application is scheduled to take place from February 26, 2024, to March 1, 2024. The affected roads include Lister Road and Rusty Spur Lane. There will be one-lane traffic with traffic control measures in place. However, the roads will remain open to traffic throughout the fog seal application period.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly, anticipate minor delays, and adhere to all traffic control instructions for their safety and the safety of road workers.
